Dr. Heller,
I’ve just discovered your book about the NARM treatment model and with tears in my eyes as I write this, please accept a warm thank you !   The stories resonate strongly with me.

Upon reading your book, I’ve just discovered that I’ve never felt fully anchored in my body.   I now know to ask myself what I’m feeling in a way that is life changing.

Dear Dr. Heller,
I just wanted to say a big “Thank You” for your awesome book, which is in my top 10 of best reads in the last 5 Years – and I really read a lot! 😉 I studied Gestalt, Holotropic Breathwork, Hypnotherapy, TRE and different Therapy-Approaches for 18 Years now and I would love to come to the ZIST-Training

it’s a great book. I read a lot and currently started a sort of dis-identification process, which is why I came across Dr. Heller’s book in my own research. Reading his book made me feel very understood – probably the most understood I’ve ever felt so you can pass him along a thank you from me!

I am a LMFT and recently read your book, Healing Developmental Trauma, and everything about the book resonated with me deeply.

I just stumbled upon your Healing Developmental Trauma book. Just finished it. Wow.  Thank you!  I feel hopeful again. Thank you thank you.  You describe the pent up energy so well. So grateful

I have read your book on Healing Developmental Trauma, and about the NARM technique and was totally impressed and also really amazed at how this technique felt so right to me, what I would need as a client and also what I would be interested in developing further as my skills being a MFT with an emphasis on trauma as a SEP .

Your book healing developmental trauma has so helped me to understand my Ptsd that it took 55 years to uncover.

I purchased the audio version of Healing Development Trauma and followed up with a hard copy.  The narration was very good, particularly the skill needed to read through the tables and charts required to understand the issues.  I have literally listened to the book and specific chapters multiple times over many hours (I have a long commute).  Each time, I learn more about the model and am grateful that you and Dr. LaPierre took the time to write this important text.

I am the clinical director of a program serving young adults who have aged out of the child protective agency (Department of Children and Families) where severe and prolonged childhood abuse and neglect have led to severe underdevelopment of nearly all self-capacities.  I found your book very helpful, particularly the explanations of various ways in which the unfilled core needs lead to both nervous system dysregulation and adaptation of survival strategies.    We struggle to find avenues to help many of our clients, who would be classified in the severe end of the Connection Survival Style.  I noticed on your website that you have written a clinical workbook and I will purchase it today.

We have been searching for frameworks and models to meet the needs of our population, and I have been particularly troubled that we don’t have a sufficient tool box to offer more practical help with emotional and behavioral regulation.  Your concept of somatic mindfulness, it occurred to me, may offer many useful interventions and skills for our clinicians.
